課程概述

平日於實習學校在輔導教師指導下從事教學實習、導師實習、行政實習與研習活動,每月參與返校座談時繳交當月實習報告書給實習指導教授,並進行試教練習,每學期在指導教授到校訪視時,於實習學校舉辦一次教學觀摩,邀請同校教師參與,給予意見.

This course, approximately six months in duration, accords the pre-service English teachers an opportunity to gain practical experiences in real-life secondary school environments in terms of three major aspects: teaching, student advising, and administration. The first month will constitute the preparation phase that allows the pre-service teachers to get acquainted with the environment while the second month will consist mainly of classroom observations and student teaching activities. In the third and fourth months, the pre-service teachers will perform different duties as they pertain to teaching and student advising. During the summer and winter breaks, they will practice administrative duties and attend professional development activities.

This internship course has a three-fold objective that aims to enable the pre-service English teachers to
1) translate theoretical knowledge into hands-on practice,
2) get familiarized with the secondary school environment as a way to further develop their professionalism, and
3) explore on-site instructional issues and devise pertinent coping strategies. 
課程要求
1) Observe the dress code practiced at the internship school.
2) Submit internship progress reports by designated due dates.
3) Join the online group for scheduling school visits and circulating relevant information.
4) Get in touch with the course instructor and/or the CTE whenever needed.
